Digital Transcription Service

Many of you are already familiar with Digital Dictation and Transcription, a practice that is widely used throughout the legal profession in particular.

We have a colleague who provides a digital transcription service and who has recently transcribed Police interviews, Focus Group discussions, one to one interviews and inventories. The software used is ExpressScribe from NCH Software which accepts most files. You can get hold of your Digital Dictation software from here too, if you don’t already use it. Visit www.nch.com.au

If you have a sound file that’s not too large (less than 4 MB) send dictated material directly to helen@pa-as-you-go.com. Alternatively, as sound files tend to be on the larger side, you can register with one of the following sites that my colleague already has experience with:

www.yousendit.com
A range of different “accounts” including a free registration for basic file transfer. The three accounts that carry a fee can be accessed on a 14-day FREE trial.

www.sendthisfile.com
Registration Plans start at around £2.50 per month or £25.00 per year.

When you upload your file, send a notification and download link to helen@pa-as-you-go.com.

Just send your files before you leave the office and depending on the length and content matter of your dictation. the completed transcription could be back with you the next day. We will always try and give an estimated time of delivery.

It’s that simple so why not give it a go? Hopefully, we’ll be handling your work pretty soon!
